Aware and Responsible

Marine-based businesses play an important role in protecting Ontario’s waterways so that future generations can continue to enjoy all the advantages of lake life that we do, today. Northern Harbour actively promotes safe and respectful boating and is committed to adopting sustainable practices and processes to limit environmental impact.

The Ontario-developed Clean Marine Eco-Rating Program is an environmental program that allows marine businesses to follow best environmental practices to reduce and prevent water, air and land pollution associated with recreational boating activities in Ontario.

Scores from a 220-point assessment are converted into an Eco-Rating system ranking from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diamond Elite as the highest achievement.

As a boater, this is your assurance that the marina has adopted the highest environmental standards for marinas in the world.

The future looks bright…

To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience one of Canada’s greatest natural resources, Northern Harbour has ambitious plans to expand.

Lakefront real estate prices continue to skyrocket well beyond the financial scope of the average family. A modest boat and seasonal docking slip can provide a reasonably priced option for many who desire access to the Lake of the Woods.

We respectfully acknowledge that Northern Harbour and the waters it serves are on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Anishinaabe and Métis Peoples of Treaty #3
