Northern Harbour is the host site and a major sponsor of the annual Lake of the Woods International Sailing Association regatta.
Entering its 59th year, LOWISA is a 7-day point-to-point sailing race open to participants of all ages, experience and skill levels that welcomes boats of all designs. Race courses are modified each year to provide the fleet with a new and exciting sailing experience.
LOWISA 59 is scheduled for August 2-9, 2025

A small membership fee grants you access to our network of swashbuckling, lake-savvy characters and their full calendar of events. It doesn’t matter what type of boat you have, or if you even own one! A love of the lake is the only prerequisite.

Club members volunteer to organize & host a variety of enjoyable events throughout the boating season. From pursuit races & casual cruises to dinners & dances to rum-powered costume parties & family-friendly island adventures.
One of the club’s many annual highlights is Cruise Week. Enjoy a laid back, fun-filled 7-day tour featuring a charted course & organized group activities along the route. A great way for new boaters to explore the lake with experienced guides!

Social Hub
Northern Harbour offers its customers access to an incredible facility to gather and socialize throughout the summer. Gary’s Boat Club is centrally located on the property with a stunning view of Pine Portage Bay.
It has a full community kitchen that on any given night hosts dinner for 2 to 200, a cozy fireplace, free Wi-Fi and there’s a big screen to watch the game or enjoy a movie. From live bands & dance parties, to event registration & fundraisers, to morning yoga & meditation – membership has its perks!
When the Boat Club is rocking, there’s no need for knocking… because everyone is welcome and there’s a good chance the boss is already out on the dance floor!
